California Science Center Opens New Ecosystems Experience New Permanent Exhibition Wing Features Innovative Exhibits Combined with Live Habitats Los Angeles -- The California Science Center will unveil a new permanent exhibition wing, Ecosystems, at a ribbon-cutting ceremony on March 25, 2010. The museum's history dates back to the first California State Exhibition building, which opened in Exposition Park in Los Angeles in 1912, the site of an agricultural fairground from 1872 to 1910.
